To round out its inaugural season, Smith Street Stage presents Jesus Christ Superstar, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical about the last days of Jesus of Nazareth, his trials before Pilate and Herod, and his death.  The show asks some intriguing questions:  What was it like to be Jesus’ best friend or disciple?  What was it about him that inspired such fervor from the crowds?  Were people just drawn to his charisma, or was he a true profit?  It also rocks!  The cast and musicians will perform the show as a concert, emphasizing the power of the music and lyrics.

All proceeds will benefit future productions for this fledgling theatre company, including this summer’s return to Carroll Park with Macbeth.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is presented through an exclusive arrangement with  R & H Theatricals and Two Knights Rights Limited. www.rnh.com
