12 Angry Men  | Open: 01/23/13 Close: 02/03/13
Twelve jurors are taken into the bleak jury room to determine the guilt or innocence of a 16 year old accused of stabbing his father. As they deliberate each juror reveals his own character as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted and a new murder threat is born before their eyes! Tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and the jurors become Twelve Angry Men!

The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People: Jack and Algernon are best friends, both of whom are wooing ladies who think their names are Ernest. Comic calamity ensues as the two get caught in a tangled web of mistaken lovers, assumed names, and a lost handbag.

An Ideal Husband: Sir Robert Chiltern is the epitome of success - both in his public life and in his private family life. However, an indiscretion committed as a younger man threatens to dismantle all that he has achieved when the sinister Mrs. Chevely attempts to blackmail him. Chiltern and his wife turn to an old friend, Lord Goring, for assistance. Can Goring help the couple extricate themslelves from their scandalous plight?

Salomé: Herod pledges to his step-daughter Salomé that he will give her half of his kingdom if she will dance for him at a banquet at his palace. This unfolds while John the Baptist is held captive in Herod's cistern, and after the prophet has rebuffed the advances of Salome. Only one thing will satiate Salomé's desire after she performs the Dance of the 7 Veils - something taboo that plunges the entire atmosphere of the Tetrach's domain into an aura of doom.

Set during and after the reign of the Third Reich, ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT is a stylized and surrealistic show inspired by interviews with German Gentile women. The play follows the lives of four young girls, as it sweeps from their teen years through adulthood, during the Holocaust and beyond. The cruel Nazi Regime impacts the women's lives as they struggle with work, religion, marriage and motherhood; each of them having to make overwhelmingly hard choices, being forever changed by Hitler's rule of evil.

Baal, a voracious drunkard and seducer, roams the countryside as a poet & musician, fully rejecting the conventions and trappings of society. We, the captivated spectators, witness this anti-hero womanize and brawl his way through life and devolve into a true libertine. We may sit in judgment of Baal, but find it difficult to avoid being seduced and drawn in by his poetic spell - at least for a moment - at least once.

The story of the Pre-Raphaelite painters and writers is told in this dark, funny and moving tale. Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s love for his beautiful model Lizzy Siddal, the tragic love triangle of John Ruskin, Ruskin’s wife Effie and the great painter John Everett Millais, Ruskin’s later doomed love for the young Rose LaTouche and his subsequent madness, the lives of William Morris and his enigmatic wife Jane, and the poets Swinburne and Christina Rossetti all intertwine in this exploration of how love and sex influence art and life!

In this surreal play about the German painter Franz von Stuck, the Sphinx, a powerfully erotic figure from one of his most famous paintings, confronts the Artist late at night to present him with a riddle which is actually the riddle of his life. His Daughter, his Step-Daughter, his Wife and his Mistress eventually appear, as he attempts to understand what his life has signified. The relationship between love, sex, art, betrayal and the elusive nature of reality are all part of the Artist’s attempt to answer the riddle. Mysterious, erotic, dark and funny.

The Odd Couple is Neil Simon's classic comedy which explores the relationship between two mismatched roommates, Felix Unger, a neurotic television news reporter and Oscar Madison, a slovenly sports writer. Fastidious, depressed and none too tense, Felix seems suicidal after his wife kicks him out. But as the action unfolds, Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean freak and slob ultimately decide to live together as "The Odd Couple" is born with hilarious results! (Part of the Fool's & Philanderers Festival also featuring Anatol by Arthur Schnitzler)
