Broadway's Next Hit Musical  | Open: 02/10/11 Close: 04/21/11

"At last!  A musical of, for and by the people... That's entertainment!"–Time Out NY

New York: On February 10, the MAC award-winning, Broadway’s Next H!T Musical  brings back the glitz and glam to the Upper West Side with New York’s only unscripted theatrical awards show. Taking suggestions from the audience, the cast of Broadway’s Next H!T Musical  brings to life an actual mock awards show, complete with made-up show tunes and genuinely witty banter, followed by a performance of the evening’s “Phony™" Award Winning musical.

Here is how it works:

  1. The first act is a fancy award ceremony, spotlighting four of the year’s “Best Musical” nominees (made up on –the-spot, based on audience-created song titles.)
  2. The second act is the entire “winning” musical based on the audience favorite nominee from act one.

Move over, Tonys!  Every Thursday night you can attend the hottest theater awards show of the season—and you make it up as you go!

Disaster! The Musical  | Open: 11/04/13 Close: 11/11/13
DISASTER!is a musical based on 1970’s disaster movies with a score consisting  of 1970’s pop, rock and disco hit songs. Disaster!previously ran in 2012 and received rave reviews. The New York Times called it a “triumph” and “irresistible” and advised “You’ll be tickled and, despite your best judgment, probably singing along”.

The year is 1979. All the hottest New York City A-Listers are putting on their platform shoes and polyester disco shirts and heading to the grand opening of Manhattan's first floating casino and discotheque. Little do they know that the pier built to house the huge boat was drilled into the center of a dangerous and unstable fault-line. Disaster! is a 1970's disaster movie musical and features your favorite songs from the ‘70’s; Hot Stuff, I Am Woman, Knock On Wood, Daybreak, Signed, Sealed Delivered, and more! It also features your favorite disasters from the ‘70’s; Earthquake, tidal wave, infernos, killer bees, rats, sharks and piranhas all threaten the guests.  Who will survive? The greedy tycoon?  The aging showgirl and her 11-year-old twins? The washed-up disco star? The disaster expert still mourning the loss of his wife? The nun with the gambling addiction? The older couple with a terrible secret? And will the bra-burning feminist find love with the man who's lost his dreams?

The best 70's Songs! The biggest 70's Disasters! DISASTER!

Honky  | Open: 03/08/13 Close: 04/07/13

When a black sneaker company hires a white CEO, their commercials begin glorifying the “ghetto" and sales triple among white teens. But when violence erupts in a black community, the shoe designer blames the ads and promises revenge. Meanwhile, the writer of the ads is paralyzed by white guilt – which only gets worse when his therapist turns out not to be what he expected. Luckily, there’s a new racism pill on the market advertising, "If you don't think you need it, you're probably a racist!" HONKY takes a comedic look at the symbiotic relationship between racism and commercialism.
