Production History

Bare: A Pop Opera  | Open: 07/26/13 Close: 07/28/13
The musical is about the coming-of-age story of five high school seniors at a Catholic boarding school. Knowing their stay in this insular world is drawing to a close, each of them question where they are in their lives and what the future holds in store. Answers are sought in the church confessional and in less formal venues including a stage, a rave, and a well-locked dorm room. The story zooms in on the love relationship between two boys, Peter and Jason. Peter a socially awkward loner and Jason the golden boy popular jock. Through out the story we see the struggles, trials and tribulations that they go through to keep their relationship alive and hidden, and how their love affects their friends and the people around them. Will the world accept them? This is a beautiful story of going against adults, religion and everything that they were ever told

Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story, Sister Act will leave audiences breathless. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, Sister Act is reason to REJOICE!

Wallenberg, A New Musical Drama  | Open: 10/28/10 Close: 11/21/10
Wallenberg is a musical drama with book and lyrics by the 2006 Kleban Award-winning team of Laurence Holzman & Felicia Needleman, and music by Benjamin Rosenbluth, brings to life the fascinating and uplifting story of Raoul Wallenberg, one of the greatest heroes of the twentieth century. In July 1944, the 32-year-old Wallenberg, an ordinary businessman from Stockholm, left the safety of neutral Sweden and went into Nazi-occupied Hungary. In a six-month stay there, he managed to save over 100,000 lives--more than were rescued by any other individual, organization or government during the entire Holocaust. With an exhilarating and richly melodic score, this powerful new musical reinforces the belief that any one of us has the power to make a difference.
