Loyalties  | Open: 01/07/10 Close: 01/30/10
“Loyalties” tells the story of a wealthy young Jew who, in the devastation following the First World War in England, is invited to a high society house party where he is robbed of a large sum of money.  The guests close ranks behind the suspected thief, a dashing but poor English war hero. As the robbery victim acts to recover his money, the loyalties of religion, class, ethics, and honor clash in a blistering indictment of the racism underlying the British class system.

Six Cylinder Love  | Open: 06/03/10 Close: 06/26/10
Six Cylinder Love, a professional Equity Showcase, is the first-ever revival of a ninety-year-old family comedy about people who buy a car they can’t afford.  The play was written by the screenwriter of 1936 Academy Award Best Picture winner “The Great Ziegfeld. ” The play is about Long Island newlyweds afflicted by car lust in 1921 when (thanks to Henry Ford), the price of autos has dropped enough that middle-class consumers can aspire to own one.  Starring as the object of the newlyweds’ affection (and in lieu of the actual car featured in the 1921 Broadway production) is an original artwork by bi-coastal artist Robin Frohardt. (www.robinfrohardt.com) Featured as inventive car salesman Will Donroy (played by Spencer Tracy in the film version) is Cohlie Brocato, best known for his work in recent music videos by Nickelback and Bullet for My Valentine.
