The Liar is a fun-for-all-ages comedic farce set in Venice which tells the fantastic story of an "imaginative" lover named Lelio. Lelio has just arrived in town to meet his father whom he hasn't seen for twenty years. On his first night in Venice, he quickly falls in love and lies his way in and out of trouble with two sisters, their father, friends, and his dear old dad until he finally receives his well-earned comeuppance and learns the hard way that "it doesn't pay to lie!"
Utilizing the performance style of commedia dell'arte and masks designed by Bruce Marrs,
The Liar reinvents the now famous comic archetypes that have become standards in today's television sitcoms. SEA and The Native American Opera House invite you back to an ancient world of passionate lovers, wacky servants, and grouchy old men in an interactive environment that brings popular theatre back to people both young and old.
