The Dark Ages are upon us. America is heading into the universal ruin, and she is sleeping. Led by her guardian angel, Marisol discovers that it is time to find her own power, to fight for survival, to open her eyes and wake up.
City Attic Theatre, an off-off-Broadway company, proudly opens their fourth season with a new production of José Rivera's Marisol.
The show is directed by artistic director Dianna Marino, designed by Dave Castellano, Eric Dente, Amanda Embry and Ryan Wentworth, and features Maryll Botula, Billia Colombaro, Brian Greer, Brian Marino, Lorraine Mattox, and Agueda Ramirez.
City Attic Theatre provides a home for theatrical artists, creating new opportunities to nurture their craft in a collaborative setting while developing powerful theatrical masterpieces. The goal is to remove the boundaries that dictate the traditional roles of artists, to release and unify the collaborative imagination.
This production was made possible through the support of The Field. Produced through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.

Why spend three hours on a single play of Shakespeare's when you can get all thirty-eight in an hour and a half? In honor of our culture's devotion to drive-through meals and eight-minute abs, City Attic Theatre has decided to pack all of Shakespeare's goodness into one comic multivitamin. The play, created and made famous by the Reduced Shakespeare Company, showcases the comedic talents of three actors while lovingly skewering the revered Shakespearean canon.

Inside of The Most Beautiful Lullaby You've Ever Heard, a Man and a Woman breathe in the possibility of a blank piece of paper. The paper becomes a sailboat, their breath becomes a journey that busts the world open, spilling out a truth so big that it could only fit inside of a human heart in love with another equally and beautifully broken person.
The play was selected from nearly two hundred scripts as the winner of CAT Tales, a playwriting competition hosted by City Attic Theatre last May. The script has been previously developed in Texas and in New York with the Boomerang Theatre Company, New Dramatists and Kitchen Dog.
The Most Beautiful Lullaby You've Ever Heard runs May 24-26, May 28, and May 31-June 1 at 8:00 p.m., May 27 at 3 p.m., and June 2 at 7 p.m. in the Under St. Marks Theatre, located at 94 St. Marks Place. Tickets are $15 and are available at the door (cash only). For reservations, please call 212-330-7045 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The show is directed by Andrew Merkel, designed by Amanda Embry and Joshua Rose, and features John Conor Brooke, Dianna Marino, and Lucy Walters.

A dark, surreal exploration of the human subconsious, Therese Raquin tells the tale of a young woman trapped by circumstance, whose desperate stabs at freedom only drive her deeper towards her own destruction. Told through a stream of short scenes, alternately comic and horrific, the play fluidly combines images of beauty and brutality.
