BAL-TRAP  | Open: 11/01/14 Close: 11/15/14
Bal-Trap, a play By Xavier Durringer, is a bittersweet drama. The action takes place after a popular gig on the village square, where two young people begin their love story while two others try to restore their passionate love, the one they had before daily chores doused their flame. But bumps and bruises are present, hidden deep inside, ignored, but still guiding the characters toward a fate that prevents them from living their one true Love. Each of them is looking for a soul mate, but they cannot understand each other. They follow their “Sweet Dream” to escape their loneliness and their pasts, believing, with an insatiable faith, in a better future where true Love can move mountains and make them – and the rest of us – travel to the ends of the earth.

Blanche Maupas  | Open: 03/15/19 Close: 03/23/19
This play tells the true story of Blanche and Théophile Maupas, both teachers in a small village in Normandy. Théo was mobilized in August 1914. Two months later he was sent to the Champagne Front. In March 1915, after several days of extremely intense fighting, the men were exhausted and demoralized. They refused to respond to a new order to attack. To reestablish discipline, General Réveilhac ordered a military tribunal to be held. Chosen at random, four corporals, including Théophile Maupas, were condemned to death and executed the next day.
Blanche did not find out the news until nine days later. Then began for her a battle that would last nearly twenty years, that of clearing Théo’s name and the names of his three comrades.
