Daniel Tamulonis

 Daniel Fergus Tamulonis  received a B.A. in Theatre from the Pennsylvania State University and was in the M.F.A. Program at the University of Connecticut- Storrs. At the 2008 NYFringe Festival, Mr. Tamulonis performed as an actor/puppeteer in the title role of Gogol’s The Diary of a Madman,directed by Richard Termine. He has performed several roles with the Harlem Repertory Theatre (HRT): the title role in FINIAN’S RAINBOW, Duke Senior in AS YOU LIKE IT, Herr Schultz in CABARET and B.G. Bigelow in FLAHOOLEY. As a long-time puppeteer, Mr. Tamulonis toured nationally with the Atlanta-based Center for Puppetry Arts and was the recepient of the 1984 UNIMA Award for Excellence In the Art of Puppetry for his production of the Ravel/Colette opera,L’enfant et les sortiléges (THE BOY AND THE MAGIC). In addition to his work as a performer, Mr. Tamulonis has directed productions of A MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT’S DREAM, as well as marionette adaptations of CYRANO DE BERGERAC, HANSEL AND GRETEL, THE LAND OF GREEN GINGER, THE BLACK COACH and SLEEPING BEAUTY. Mr. Tamulonis designed the puppets for the (Illinois) Regional Touring Company’s 1986 season and for HRT’s Off-off Broadway production of FAHLOOLEY.
