Clint Jefferies

Clint Jefferies (Playwright) is the author of thirteen plays and musicals produced in NYC and regionally.  Musicals include: Fangs: The Vampire Musical, In A Land Far Away, The Strange Case of the Lascivious Transformation of Mr. X, The Three Musketeers and The Captain’s Boy, which was also performed at Bailiwick Repertory in Chicago.  His plays include Suave Succubus, Strange Bedfellows, Odyssey ’75, African Nights and The Jocker, which ran in Houston, Seattle, and has had readings at New Jersey Repertory, Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in LA, and The Southwark Playhouse in London.  Clint was the recipient of the John Gassner Memorial Playwriting Award and a finalist for the Stanley Drama Award.  His plays have been finalists in the Pacific Northwest Writers’ Conference Competition and the South Carolina Playwrights’ Festival.  His new musicals COWBOYS! and Tango Masculino received The OOBR Award For Excellence in off-off Broadway Theatre in 2000 and 2002 respectively.  Cowboys! enjoyed three critically acclaimed NY productions (including excellent notices from the Times) as well as an extended run at the Pegasus Theatre in Dallas.  Tango Masculino (originally produced at Wings Theatre in New York through a challenge grant from the NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs) just concluded an extremely successful run at the New Theatre in Sydney Australia as an official event of the Sydney Mardi Gras Festival.  His latest musical, Nile Blue, recently concluded a successful run in Tampa.
