Andrew Heyman is a composer/lyricist with roots firmly planted in rock & roll. He got his start writing and performing with the New Jersey-based pop punk band Spitting Image before attending Princeton University, where he earned a BA in Classics. In college Andrew began writing music, lyrics, and sketches for The Princeton Triangle Club, the school’s student-run musical comedy troupe. He helped write four shows with Triangle, two of which were performed at the McCarter Theater to fully packed houses and went on to tour the United States. He also continued to write and perform both solo and with the rock band The Impulsives, recording and releasing an album entitled "Panoply" in 2007. Andrew recently received an MFA from the Tisch Graduated Musical Theatre Writing Program as a member of Cycle 18, where he wrote music and lyrics for the full length musical "Together This Time" (book & lyrics by Zac Kline) and music for the 20-minute musical "Hero Complex" (book & lyrics by Kat Harris). Andrew currently resides in Manhattan, where he works for The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization and acts as theatrical consultant and intern for Blinding Science Entertainment Laboratories.
