Rachel Mary Cox

Rachel Mary Cox (Stage Manager) grew up in Washington DC and has lived in NYC for almost a decade, since arriving in the fall of 2000 to study Film at Columbia University. Upon graduating in '04, she became an artist manager at David Sonenberg's firm DAS Communications. At DAS till '09, she worked with artists such as Fergie, John Legend, The Black Eyed Peas, Joan Osborne, Wyclef Jean, The Veronicas, The Disco Biscuits, and The Bacon Brothers. In '08 she started her own record label and event company, roc-elle records. She currently manages Brooklyn-based artists Zack Hagan, ZXL, and Jen Urban & The Box. She is also a stage & film actress whose favorite roles include Meg in Crimes Of The Heart, a gypsy in Dead Jack Theatre (Performa Biennial), and a mental patient in Marat/Sade. She has acted with the NYC theatre collective Two Distinct Motions on productions of Marat/Sade and Arctic Project X (an original piece developed by the cast). This June 10 she is organizing a fundraiser at the Manhattan nightclub: The Gates for the non-profit JT3 Art, a foundation that provides grants to young filmmakers.  www.myspace.com/roc-elle-records     www.jt3art.org
