Peter Carlaftes

Peter Carlaftes is a poet, playwright, actor and director. Six collections of his poetry have been published and ten of his plays have been staged, to critical acclaim. Peter was also Creative Director of The Marilyn Monroe Memorial Theater in San Francisco for 10 years where he created and directed a deconstruction of Knut Hamsun’s classic work Hunger, and created and starred in a one-man rendition of Harold Pinter’s The Homecoming. He has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway productions, including his performance piece, Lenny Bruce: Dead & Well, his original work Sarah's Choice, at Theater for the New City, and most recently was starred as Victor Velasco in Barefoot in the Park at The Spoon.
