Rony Sheer

RONY SHEER (Billy) - is from Jerusalem, where he began performing as a circus artist during his childhood. This past May, he received his Masters of Fine Arts from Columbia University’s School of the Arts where he trained with Kristin Linklater, Andrei Serban, Niky and Ulla Wolcz, Larry Singer and others. At Columbia, Rony performed in pieces such as The Lower Depths, Three Sisters, As You Like It, The Venetian Twins, and Diane Paulus’s adaptation of James Baldwin’s Another Country.
In the late nineties, he was a member of NYU’s Creative arts team where he acted in several devised plays. Rony also holds a BFA in acting from Adelphi University, where he performed in plays such as Once in a life Time, Holy Ghosts, Tony and Tina’s Wedding, and helped workshop some of Jonathan Larson’s rare early works. In the summer of 06 he trained with Anne Bogart’s SITI company. The following summer he acted in and produced the U.S. premier of the acclaimed Israeli play The Child Dreams. Rony would like to thank his family for way too many things to even mention. He would also like to thank The Rapscallion Theatre Collective and everyone involved in this production.
