Laura A. Rizzo
Having graduated from Bard College with a degree in Drama/Dance and from NYU with a masters degree in Educational Theater, Laura is an award winning youth theater choreographer and director. She is a NJ certified speech arts and dramatics teacher and a NJ certified dance teacher.She has taught in both the public and private sectors for over twenty years. She has performed both on and off Broadway and has danced professionally with several dance companies in New York including a world tour with the American Catskills Dance Theater promoting Broadway Cares. She is a member of many educational theater associations including: Stanj, Cappies, United Theater Alliance, and the National Youth Theater Organization. Ms. Rizzo has directed over 100 shows for children of all ages, including productions at Contemporary American Theater Festival (West Virginia), Academy Creative Theater(Putnam), New York Stage and Film (Poughkeepsie), New Jersey Shakespeare Festival (Madison), The Broward Center Productions, The Performance Project,(Florida) Theatre and the Garage Theater Company (New Jersey).
