RON PHILLIPS
Ron Phillips was bittten by the broadcasting bug after going to L.A. with the Howard Stern Show for having submitted a winning song parody called "Big Lumps of Cancer." It was a great thrill - they put them up at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for the week & he got to perform the song live w/ Howard & his guest John Davidson. He then spent 17 years in non-commercial radio hosting shows like "The Garbage Pit" - a weekly showcase of forgotton music, both new & old. He also hosted "Turmoil"- the world's longest continually running punk rock radio show for a few years. Ron is currently a voiceover artist, appearing in numerous local & national radio ads & was the host of a PBS pilot show - "Wine: Television's Guide to the Grape." His film work consists of numerous student films, as well as a part in Amusement Film's "The Girls from H.A.R.M." Ron has recently began to audition for live theater & looking forward to working with The Retro-Trash Theatre Company!
