Nina Capone

Nina hails from Philadelphia, Boston & Chicago before moving to New York in 2003. She is a speech-language pathologist for over 10 years, member of the Matthew Corozine Studio, and a repertory member of Love Creek Productions.  She recently led the cast in the surrealist play Dialogue of Insects, and Then or Now (NYC Strawberry Festival semi-finalist), and appeared in Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author (Love Creek Productions). She directs one-act plays and short full-length plays at the American Theater for Actors, the Algonquin Theater, and the Producer's Club.  Nina recently directed for the Phare Play 21 hour play festival winning "best use of prop"-award ( and for Duncan Pflaster's Six Silences in Three Movements for the Arts in Action play-reading series.  Full-length, assistant director credits: Times Square Arts Center, 59E59 Theater, Algonquin Theater.  Other performance credits: Nick Hall's Accommodations, Neighbors and Hero Worship, both by Walt Vail, Strindberg's The Stronger, Bridal Terrorism, The Passion of Howard Tripp, Savage in Limbo, many one-act plays, and a monologue trilogy that she penned. She played Doc in the NY Film Academy film Bingo Bango. Next up: Nina plays Tess in the independent film Jobert's Painting, written and directed by Derrick J. Early; and will again appear in the NYC Strawberry Festival as the President of the United States.  Contact Nina:
