Much Ado About Nothing  | Open: 01/19/12 Close: 01/22/12
Monsterpiece Theater Collective's Much Ado About Nothing interprets Shakespeare's classic with a modern twist and a nod to contemporary social media, and features original music by the Wonderland Robbers (Nick Boddington music, Jade Bartlett, lyrics). As adapted by director Anthony Pound, the theater becomes a giant chalk board where the cast creates the world of the play in messages and status updates. The rumors serving as the basis of the action quite literally become the writing on the wall, floor, and anywhere the chalk lands. Confirming the truth and deleting the rumor, the cast creates and erases the show each night.
