Christian Irizarry is a New York-based actor. His favorite roles include Che in Evita, King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar, Martini in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Emory in The Boys in the Band, John Glines' Chicken Delight (Jesus), and Body and Soul (Max), for which he received his first New York reviews. The Actor Formerly Known As Christian Sebastian completed writing over 30 original works stemming from screenplays, novels, stage plays, and short-stories, over a 3-year period, including editorials featured in HX Magazine and the HX Gay Life Expo 2007.
Other various theater credits include Body and Soul, Happy Hour, Hopscotch-A Sex Comedy, Durang One-Acts, The Soapranos (New York Dinner Theatre Co.), Rock-a-My Soul in the Bosom of Abraham, The Jury Room, Breaking the Code, Killing Time, Guys & Dolls, and The Most Happy Fella. Christian toured with the Educational Production Company, National Tours, in a production of Don Quixote.
Christian's Television Credits include The Sopranos, and Metro Access Productions' The New Yorkers. His Film Credits include Rosewood Productions presentation of Deborah Sinico's Dirty Little Tales (2010 New York International Film Festival, 2011 7th NYC Downtown Short-Film Festival); and various Short-Films on YouTube. Christian made his national debut at the age of sixteen in the Music Video Commerical Gospel Holiday featured on Cinemax and could be seen dancing in the video for Trunk of my Car by Indie-Rock group Volcano, I'm Still Excited.
Christian is a Vocal Music graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art in NYC and a holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Syracuse University, where he minored in Drama; and earned his Federal Communcations Commission (FCC) License. After graduating from Syracuse University, Christian began studying Voice with David Brunnetti, Dance for Musical Theater at Haila Strauss Studios, Meisner at Matthew Corozine Studios, as well as Improv at the Creative Acting Company in NYC.
While balancing an active On- and Off-Stage & Screen career, Christian is also a marketing advocate for various Stage & Screen production companies throughout NYC. Christian developed Wiesemann-Irizarry Productions, with His Husband, Photographer Jeffrey Wiesemann. Together, they completed the Travel & Tourism film, Island Paradise Sunrise, on YouTube. Christian is producing his first independent film, Diamond, based on his self-published novel, DIAMOND STARSHINE. Christian's other Works in progress include Diamond, Father's Day, Sunnie, Eventfulless; and Short Films Hustle & Bustle, Family Values, and Sunnie.
